Precautions for daily use of hardness tester
When using various hardness testers, in addition to having special precautions, there are also some common problems that need to be noted Let the editor of Zijin introduce them to everyone now.
1. The hardness tester itself will produce two types of errors: one is the error caused by the and movement of the hardness instrument parts; the other is the error caused by the hardness parameters exceeding the specified standards. For the second type of error, the hardness instrument needs to be with a standard block before measurement.
2. When replacing the anvil or base, be sure to wipe the contact area clean. After replacement, use a steel sample with certain hardness for multiple tests until the hardness values obtained twice in a row are the same. The purpose is to press the contact area of the anvil or base with the testing machine avoid affecting the accuracy of the test results.
3. After adjusting the hardness tester, start measuring the hardness. Do not use the previous test point. Because of the that the sample and anvil are in contact, the measurement value is not accurate. After the test is completed, the hardness instrument is in a normal working state, and the sample formally tested, and the measured hardness value is recorded.
4. When the sample allows, generally select at least three hardness values from different parts, take the average value, take the average value as the hardness value of the sample.
5. For complex-shaped test pieces, use a correspondingly shaped backing block to fix them before the test Circular test pieces are generally tested in a V-shaped groove.
Before loading, check whether the loading handle is in the unloading position. When loading, the action be light and steady, and do not exert too much force. After loading, the loading handle should be placed in the unloading position to prevent the instrument from being in a loaded for a long time, causing plastic deformation and affecting the accuracy of the measurement.
The above are the precautions for daily use of hardness testers, which I hope will helpful to everyone.
