① The surface of the workpiece has oxide scale, oil stains, burrs, and has not been polished; 

② Unstable placement of workpieces and suspended bottom; 

③ Diamond indenter wear and chipping; 

④ The equipment has not been leveled; 

⑤ The indentation is too close to the edge of the workpiece, follow the indentation distance from the edge ≥ 2.5 times the diagonal of the indentation.
